What is the correct bolt size that fits in to the threaded trailer hitch/tow hook mount in the rear?

Hes talking about the size of the bolt.. Not the size of socket that it takes.

Thanks for the help. I bought some 12 mm bolts and tried to fit them, but they seemed to not be the ticket possibly dues to corrosion. I just wanted to make sure before I screwed my self instead of the Liberty.

It may not be corrosion, did you get 1.75 thread? They come 1.25 (and think even 1) too. If you think the nuts are corroded, go to a tool store and buy a 12x1.75 tap and clean 'em out before you jam the wrong thread size in there!

yes they are the correct pitch. There is a lot of stuff stuck in the threaded holes..
For future notice, I think I may just buy parts from Mcmaster-carr than driving around from store to store trying to find the correct fastener.

might shoot some WD-40 up there to help clean it out perhaps...

Yea, some PB blastor and a steel brush would help.. If not that, then a tap like Dave said..

I know what you mean by driving around.. it gets old fast!
