Keep an eye on the for sale section and get a pair of Daystar pucks.. Here is a set of front spacers.. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=19369 Mutt has the extra rear isolators for sale also. Get 2 sets of those for 1in of lift and you are set.. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=20311 Since the Jeep sits nose down from the factory, that would probably make it level. Could make the front just alittle higher though.. Wont know till you are done.. If the rear was lower, you could wait and get a set of OME rear springs to lift the rear up some more.. Mediums on the rear would probably be right with 1.5in of lift on the front. |

What about enough clearence over most off road (normal-not hardcore rock crawling) trips? i am thinking of going with rusty's coil lift but if I can get by cheaper but still have quality.... |

You would get more lift and a better ride with a full suspension lift kit.. |

don't have $1000 to do a lift though... i don't think i could lift it myself, b/c i don't really know anything about the suspension stuff, so the $1000 cost includes a trip to pepboys (installation). |

you could also go to the dealer or search here for some pre-lowerd springs & that would get you about 1 inch of lift |

Buy the lift, pay my airfare and I will be there to put it on or gas money, motel & food,............ Seriously though, jerbacher drove 2 hours to come to my house for some help with his lift this past weekend 4 hours later he was heading back home, so search around some you never know who may be willing to help you out. The best people who drive Jeeps are right here on LOST |

that would take about a 1/2" of clevis lift, which would put the strut dangerously close to coming out of the clevis, imo. If you're really set on it, I would recommend 2 conduit nuts (about 1/2" in lift) plus Rusty's strut spacers (about 1/2" lift) and two rear spring isolators (about 1" lift, may need more spacers... not real sure). All this is strictly based on what I've read of others' experiences, though so I may be off on some things. |

i was in the same position a few years ago and wanted to be lifted but didn't want to spend alot of $$$ to do it. What i did was Buy a OTT lift from RRO and never installed it (thankfully) do to finding some info on this site and others about having some problems witht that OTT setup. It ended up sitting around for a year before i decided to sell it for 200.00 CA. Anyway all iam trying to say is that just hold off until you have the money to get the lift that will actually please you! I now have a old man emu lift with spacers and love the ride and quaily (Way better then stock). Ima not try ing to single out the OTT lift and bash it but just trying to help you save money and make the right choice , i had to find out the hard way!! |

clevis (2 conduit nuts) plus rusty strut plate($29) for the front and top spring isolators ($12/piece i think from dealership x 4, 2 for each side) for the rear would prolly put you at about an 1". |

Depends on who is doing it. If youve never had the suspension apart, then yes, it could be alittle rough. For someone thats done it before, it would probably be a breeze. |

the rear would be easier than the front and I think you could do it. Just find the thread about installing the clevis lift. Plus by doing this it will get you more comfortable with your suspension and when its time to do the "big" lift you'll know a little more about what your doing. And you can keep this stuff on along with Rusty's coil lift for a good 2.5-3" of lift. |
