So my company had a contest and the winner gets a $150 gift certificate to anywhere the winner chooses. Well I won the contest, and they won't give me cash, so I need to determine how to blow this on my '05 CRD (with the little bit I've saved up since buying RL sliders) in the most rewarding way possible. |

You going wheeling any time soon? Skid You have house repairs to do soon? Home Depot cert Etc....... Prioritize the stuff you want/need and go for whatever fits the bill best. You can't go wrong that way and you will still be saving for the other goodies. |

Buy something highly visible that your co-workers will see whenever they visit the parking lot so they can feel the pain of defeat over and over. |

A free flowing muffler on the CRD will generally add 1-2 mpg - keeps saving money if you go from 20 to 22 mpg - at $2.75 a gallon - that a 8000 miles to payback $100 investment. |

If you get it from Hoe Depot you can buy tools - if you don't have tools, you can't install anything - right? |

Weegie5, I'd go for the All J Super Skid if you don't already have the Mopar transmission skid. Otherwise, go for the custom coil springs and some new shocks. SavageUrge, you need to buy your tools at Sears! SavageUrge wrote: If you get it from Hoe Depot you can buy tools - if you don't have tools, you can't install anything - right?

For some reason, the second-to-last option I entered a real nice dinner with the wife didn't show up. Maybe I overwrote it with "Home Depot" and there is a limit of 5 options on polls, or I just screwed it up. Anyway, I meant for that to be an option too. |

That's what I am talking about!!! The bad thing is $150.00 doesn't get you very far at Sears, though. Especially when you get a general set and start to specialize!! |

I buy cheap tools wherever I can find them. Then when they break, I replace them with Craftsman. Talk about not learning my lesson! LOL |

This is a no brainer in my opinion. I noticed that you had a CRD. The ALLJ's superskid is a must because of the oil filter which hangs so low. No other skid will protect that filter. Until you get the ALLJ skid I would not take it offroad. |
