With about 1000 mi on the odometer, I had developed a nasty dash creak/rattle on the driver's side. I was having flashbacks of my old XJ

The noise seemed to be coming from behind the dash, left of the gauges, somewhere behind and below the left side panel vent. If you pop the fuse panel door off, grab the edge of the dash and pull it forward and back, you could duplicate it.

The fix was simple. I slightly loosened the two screws that hold the fuse panel to the frame of the dash. Since then, blissful silence.

If you've got a rattle in that area, spend 5 minutes with a philips screwdriver and you just might get rid of it. :D

I'll have to check I have a rattle coming from around there but I thought it was from behind the speedometer... maybe this is it! :-)

Mine developed a creeking noise shortly after buying it and it was driving me crazy, plastic POC. A good punch to the dash quieted it up. This was 6 months ago, so far so good.
