Okay, here’s my story. The wife and I have had many long heartfelt discussions about the Liberty. I want to modify the Liberty for off-road use, (Lift, replacement Front and Rear Bumpers, Winch, Roof Rack with Lights, Skids from front to back, Rock Rails………you get the point). However, my most beautiful and gracious wife doesn’t want her Jeep to see the harshest of trails. Instead, she agrees that she would like to Frankenlift it, throw on some skink super sliders, and other mods in the future. But she thinks the NEW Wranglers are the real deal and belong off-road………………………………SO, she is permitting me to buy a NEW WRANGLER once we sell our investment properties! Anyway, now that you understand the story, let’s get back to the point. She wants a WHEEL/TIRE combo that will fit without major problems. She’s got the factory 17” rims on now and would like to consider a second set of wheels for a winter tire application. I’ve heard some of you report that certain wheels provide better spacing over others. I found the Jeep 16x8 MOAB's for $249.99 per wheel. Where can you find them cheaper? I would consider the spidertrax spacers if they would help. What do you guys/girls recommend? All suggestions are welcome. THANKS!

Find a used set of Moabs. They still pop up all the time for sale and I have bought sets for $500 w/ tires and seen sets w/out tires for $350. (heck, I even scored a set for Free!) The normal prices seem to be in the $500-750 range w/ decent tires though.
Keep an eye on the local off road forums (Colorado area sites) and you might be surprised to find what you are looking for.
