Went to the dealer, got my new roof, $260 out the door, gawd I love a 25% discount! Big part, in a big box, so we strapped it to the roof, had to take my thule off, my Jeep feels naked now without it.
Then I took a break and went to see an atlas missle site:
Then back to work, got the 1/4 panel 90% welded, still some finishing needed, put the roof panel up in place, fits like a dream, just a little bit of grinding to remove the primer so the spot welder makes contact, and it will be ready to go on. After that its onto paint, and hopefully I can get the windshield installed on tues.

I like variety. (its also somewhat of a running joke how many different colors my cars are) |

Yeah I second that, don't have the tools are the talent to pull anything like that off. What year is the 300ZX? I assume another project in-progress? |

There are 4 visible in all the pictures I have posted, though if its under a cover it will be hard to tell. The white one on the street is a 90 2+2 that I will sell once I get a new coat of paint on it(which will be the next thing after this Jeep is done). The Green 96 twin turbo is my toy that I rebuilt a three summers ago but needs some work after an incident at Second Creek 2 summers ago. The car under the cover in the driveway is a 93 2+2 for parts, and the car under the cover in the backyard is a 91TT parts car. And not pictured at all is my 93 convertible twin turbo that resides in socal right now, after this jeep gets fixed up its going out to socal for my parents to drive, and I am getting back my convertible to drive. |

It was either that or the Jeep but given where I live now and the horrible roads here, the ZX would be parked most of time. I still remember the "discussion" my ex-wife and I had on the choice, "...but they both have room for the booster seat in the back "
Right now there is a huge influx of 300zxs from japan because you kanucks have a 15 year importation law, so anything older than 15 years can be imported and driven on the street legally. 300zxs sell so cheap in japan that a nice 2+2 TT with low Kms can be had for only 2k USD, then imported fairly cheaply. |

By the way, where is that missile silo located? Is it a museum or a converted home? |
