Any vehicle sold in CANADUH is required to have DRL's. So yes there is the capability but it's disabled for the USA folks.

Eh?

Can we enable it? If so how can it be done without buying any aftermarket gizmos?
I always have my lights on and just wait for them to turn off by themselves.

I saw an old post on this. I don't think it was feasible if I remember correctly with the stock wiring and little work (I assume that's the way you'd want to go  ).
However there are companies that sell aftermarket boxes to do this but they are a couple hundred $$ if I recall.

:) Enable DRL: Turn the tip of the handle on your left hand side until the headlights turn on, and drive around, shut off when you stop the vehicle. :)

I don't know whay people want to through the trouble of trying to modify the vehicle for DRL.

Need the export(or Canadian) BCM then you can put in a fuse and it should work. Why would you want DRL anyway? It's one of the most annoying things I've ever seen, plus it shortens the life of your headlamp bulbs.

X2...Not to mention that GM leads the polls in Altenator and battery replacement.I can see just fine in the daytime without my headlights.........and if it's a thing for someone not seeing you, then their just not paying attention.

If I remember correctly on earlier KJs this was not difficult. About $70. Go to the dealer and order the relay, about $30. When you get it plugged in go to the dealership and have them reset the country code to indicate Canada. 1/2 hour labor to do that and I think you were set.

Nothing - just that I'm close to Windsor Ont? Must be a local thing with some of my buddies from that side of the tunnel.
