I saw the 2007 Jeep factory cd/rom service manual on Ebay for about $75.
Should I get one of those or one of the Haynes paper manuals?

I won't be doing anything high-tech since I have no mechanical experience, but I thought I would start learning, and trying to fix my own if it ever needs it.

The factory manual would be the best. The Haynes is pretty good for the basics. Buy both, that's what I did.

I'm in the same boat as you and actually asked this question about a week ago, so I can't offer any advice...

But, I just got my Hayne's manual in the mail from Amazon (~$17) and it looks like it will cover anything I'd be willing to try out on my own, so you may want to start there first.

I think I'll go that route also.
$17 sounds a lot better than $75 especially since I'm just a rookie at this stuff.
