I just installed Leather seats from an 04 Limited in my 05 CRD Sport.

I was hoping that they were the same since the wiring harness had the same three wires, but no joy. Looks like they may have changed the airbag sensor logic. Drivers side looks good, but the passenger side airbag light will not go off.

It appears that the same components exist on both seats. So my next step may be to swap the guts between the seats and see if that corrects the problem.

Anyone done this mod?

sort of....check your PMs. I added '05 seats to '03 power tracks and chose to work with the wiring. That may be easier than swapping out all the seat guts.

Problem solved, seems the Occupant Sensor Module is a different part number between 2004 and 2005. Swapped the module (2 screws 1 plug) and the BCM is happy again.

2004 is 55352877AH
2005 is 55352877AK

Maybe, but they are a supreme improvement over the sport seats.

One of these days I'm going to see if my wifes leather PT Cruiser seats will bolt to the KJ frames. Those seats are very comfortable and have held up very well. I also like the fact that they fold flat.

I've got to wait till she's visiting her Mom. She's not a big fan of me modifying her car, a couple of days will give me a chance to hide the evidence.
