Im getting ready to change my oil b/c Im going to OK to buy a jet ski :D :D (Im super excited to get the ski itll do 55mph....and its stock, pfff who rides stock anyways?! Im thinking more closer to 63mph! ) and its about time to change it anyways, so I thought Id do it before the trip.

Anyways I bought Castrol Syntec Blend SAE 5W-30 and a Fram Extended Guard Oil Filter (XG3600), but now that I got home I think I remember someone saying that Fram doesnt work too good on our Jeeps?? Is this true or will it be fine?

Fram is not the best quality filter. It'll work - but next time get something better like the regular MOPAR filter, Mobil1 or even a fancy K&N filter.

Napa select or Purolator Pureone filters are really good to.

No - just maybe change your oil a little sooner next time as the fram filter won't work very well and you don't want really dirty oil running around your crankcase.

I've been using the Fram XG3600 on my Liberty for more than 90000 miles. No problems so far, I change the oil and filter every 10000 miles. Everybody likes to trash the Frams but I've got 208,000 on my old Cherokee using Frams exclusively.

I always thought fram was good, then I found out how cheap they are. Why not spend a couple of bucks more and get something good?

Hmm, yup, still like my Mobil1 and their synthetic blend 5000+mile oil.

I've run Fram Filters since I have been driving, about 10 years... this last oil change I went and picked up a NAPA GOLD filter (which are just Wicks filters anyway)... holy crap those are beefy. they definitely seem a little more robust, that the Fram filters, they are a little more expensive, But I probably won't go back to Fram, especially since I beat the Jeep up pretty good on the trails. I did some research on the filters and Fram definably seem to lack a tad in quality. One of my buddies was running Fram in his XJ. He went to check the oil, and started seeing weird cardboard goo on the dip stick.. took it to the shop, and it turns out the Fram started to disintegrate. That hit a little too close to home for me, thats why I changed.
The only thing I will miss will be that cool grip coating on the back of the filter.

Yeah the grippy stuff was a great little marketing tool.. If I can't get a hold of a filter I could try using sandpaper but I've always been able to get a filter off with the strap wrench.

Fram filters are made cheaply - that is why they sell cheaply and I don't trust a $3.00 filter on my engine that probably costs over $2,000.00 if something was to go wrong. I read through the link that was posted and I am shocked at the findings of the Mopar filters. I think I'll be sticking with the Mobil1's from now on (regardless of pricing)
