Is the poly puck/spacer on the front of the Frankenlift supposed to make contact with the inner fenderwell when the strut is at full droop? |

This is what I'm talking about. Two weeks after installing the Frankenlift one of the poly spacers on the front struts came apart and dropped down around the clevis letting the spring ride on the metal of the strut. AllJ's was great, they sent me two replacement struts and wanted the old back to see what caused the problem. I put the new ones on and noticed that the spacer was making contact with the body at full droop. I was wondering if this is what tore the spacer apart. Here are some pictures.

Thats no good John....Hope things get cleared up...I would think perhaps a little snip here and there of the plastic might fix the rubbing issue perhaps....unless i'm seeing things wrong... hi-jack: How was the Ouachita Trip some weeks back? family doing alright?? |

The spacer is rubbing on metal. I might be able to pound it back from the spacer if that is not normal. |

Eddo's:
I wonder if they changed the size of the spacer again... Looks like yours is larger in diameter than the spring, and Eddo's is the same size. Looks like his would travel ap and down with the spring just fine, where as yours is flaying itself |

His looks like it is making contact as well. They appear to be using a new design for the spacer that is for sure. Any thoughts if this will cause the spacer to break again? |

No idea, but his looks to be traveling in the same grove, and yours looks larger, causing impace - IMHO. Also, it could have just been a faulty part, and now it's replaced |

True. cold anyone with the lift look and verify if theirs makes contact? I assume that since it is designed to have the knuckle make contact at droop it must be able to handle some contact. I just don't want to hear that awful pop again and feel the front end drop. |

Mine touches the inner metal at full droop. The clevis and lower control arm pulls it in, thats why I need the ratchet strap trick to re-attach the lower clevis bolt to the lower control arm. Ron |
