i'm updating the pics ... the hitch and warn reciever shakle are bent up pretty good, and the locking pin for the hitch is bent, to where my bro can't get the warn thing off. also, my bracket that i spent so much time on, for the cb antenna, is broken, and my spare tire is all scratched up so i will be getting 5 new rims... i want the ones like phxtoad has... anyone know which ones would fit my 235/70r 16s? |

That charger is messed up real good!!!! Glad you are OK. KJ took it very well. Rear bumper guard or hich receiver step would have helped a lot. |

Ohh man, I hope it pulled the bolts out and didnt bend the frame. If it did bend the frame I hope its not much.. Did you look to see if the frame was bent? If you get down to take that pic dont tell me you didnt stick you head under there! I never keep anything in my hitch for that reason.. Dont want the frame to get bent. I would rather it bend that gate all to heck.. |

Same thing, only not as bad, happened to me and my 07. with 650 miles on it! Was sitting in my parents drive way (double wide driveway) on the left side and started her up put her in reverse and changed to my sunglasses. Note I put it in R first so the brand new back-up lights were a glowin! As I let off the brake and start to accelerate i hear a horn and just as i am slamming on the brakes i hit a car that was not there when i got in my KJ. A friend of my mother's (in her 80's) pulled in in her taurus station wagon, RIGHT behind me and up tight, despite the back up lights being on. NO WHERE did she appear in my mirrors as i looked before backing. She could have pulled up beside me, instead I had no idea she was even there. my spare hit her hood, just like your pics, only not as sever. Bent the crap out of my tail gate. body shop said 500-750 worth of damage, on a 1,000 deductible!!!!! Tail Gate functions great, and 2, 1/2 nuts under the spare tire mount later the tire is spaced back off the bumper. I could kill her. Needless to say she wants me to fix her hood. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!! Good luck on yours. Hope frame is ok! Just a quick tip, I back in to all drive ways now. Drives the wife nuts. Heard UPS started making all their drivers do this and the company's accident claims went down by 75%!! Good luck to ya! |

Glad o one was hurt. Accidents like this are the ones that end up giving you back problems. Doesn’t look too bad on your end Just make sure the insurance covers everything including the warn shackle. BTW if the Ins. lets you keep the wheels I’d might be interested. |

Interesting! Hope everything turns out okay for you. When I had my 02 KJ a guy with a pickup caught my spare when he was moving in a parking lot. No damage to the KJ but he needed a new headlight assembly and turn signal! Terry |

That's a bummer you got nailed. I'm glad that you're okay though. The KJ holds up well...much better than other vehicles anyway. Write yourself an invoice for that CB antenna bracket + installation. The insurance needs to pay to replace that too. |

I think the RL bumpers look great, just wish they had thought out the tire swing a little better. The latch looks like it is an after thought. I remeber the old latches on the early XJ's tire swing. actuallt had a receiver in the factory bumper. SOLID as a rock. But god help you if for some little reason the two no longer lined up. Is there any other replacement bumpers out there besides RL's? For the 07's? Front and/or Back? And since they have drasticly changed the Liberty, are we going to see any more aftermarket stuff for a car that was only produced for 5 years? |

i am pretty sure i am going to get a RL rear, but will the added weight destroy my rear springs? |
