| Post subject: | (UPDATED) Hella 500 Stone Grille Covers w/ pics |
Anyone have these on their Liberty? I was wondering about grill covers for the Hella 500's and I wanted to be able to turn them on at anytime without taking those opaque white covers off, and lo and behold I found these and ordered them.
I think they will look sharp |

Well, that is an option, but I want some protection, and to be honest the 500 are too "white" appearing with that lens for my tastes on my black jeep, so I wanted something that would tone it down some. This cover conceals the outer edge which is exactly what Im looking for. Its so darn thin that I think the light minimization will be minimal. On a side note, I just hate advertising for companies, so if its feasible I will see about getting that big Hella off. |

thanks! Dremel should do a good job of getting the name off without killing the structure. |

should be here in a couple of days, will keep everyone posted I think one other option is to paint the "Hella" with the Jeep Graphite paint that comes on the Freedom Edition, that way the black and gray will match the jeep really well. |

Excellent find. I'm not crazy about those big black and white covers myself. |

I got the hella clear covers, they work good but one time I had them on a long time and both the glass lens on the lights cracked, I was moving the whole time but they must have gotten too hot. Hella warrantied them though |

i wanted something to deaden the "white" that seems pretty common with this light. I also thinkt hat the amber fogs with this grill would look great too |

Yeah, I do like to see the light, I just wanted protection on it and not have to look at, and take off, that white plastic Hella cover |

Ok, got them installed. What a pain in the @$$. It took hours...I was so fed up with circuit diagrams, trying to figure what people were talking about, trying to find the best way to do things, that I think I am doing to do a full how to for anyone else wanting a Liberty specific, bumper mounted solution with Hella 500's. Everyone has been really helpful, but so many people have done so many things that I find them all confusing at best, conflicting and contradictory at worst. So, when i get time, i will do the first how to, with pics and everything. Meanwhile, here are my new Hella fogs with the Hella Grilles (something that I haven't seen on anyone else's Jeep!) yay me.
