I would like to run the 265/70/R17 Mickey Thompson BAJA MTZ using my factory Rims with a Frankenlift. Does anybody know or have thoughts on whether or not this application will fit without rubbing? Will I need to hammer the pinch weld? How about spacers? Check out the thread link below for photos. Very impressive OzLtd! My Stock Tire on Factory Rim: 235/65/R17 SIDEWALL: 6.0” RADIUS: 14.5” DIAMETER: 29.0” CIRCUMFERENCE: 91.2” REVS/MILES: 695.0 After Market Tire on Factory Rim: 265/70/R17 Mickey Thompson BAJA MTZ SIDEWALL: 6.8” RADIUS: 15.3” DIAMETER: 30.6” CIRCUMFERENCE: 96.0” REVS/MILES: 660.0 The Mickey Thompson tire (based on factory speedometer settings) is 5.3% slower than the factory tire. At 60 mph the Mickey Thompson will actually be running 63.2 mph. Here’s what the tire looks like on a KJ. Scroll down and check out OzLtd’s KJ. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=18924 http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/truc ... aMTZRadial |

I could not answer about the tire size issue but those tires perform great on the trails and on the highway I've got them on the JK Rubicon and they are amazing!! |

I was looking into the same thing earlier this year. You will have to bend the pinch weld and trim the front bumper, unless you have an ARB like oz does. |

Thanks Donnie, so what are your plans now? KJ2006 said that he was able to fit his 32 inch tires under the KJ with the Frankenlift, Mopar upper rear isolator, Spidertrax on all four wheels, inner fending trimming, and pounding down the pinch weld. The upper rear isolator gave him an extra ¼” gain. He said that my 30.6 inch tires should fit in the rear with no problem, however I would have to take down the pinch weld and perhaps do some minor inner fender trimming in the front. When I put his tire into the calculator I got 31.7 inches. So my tire would be approximately 1 inch smaller. Later I plan to replace the factory bumper with a Rock Lizard, assuming the Rock Lizard would give me adequate tire room. Perhaps I should salvage my factory bumper instead of cutting it up, especially if I know I’m going to replace it with an aftermarket bumper. |

I've got them on the JK Rubicon and they are amazing!! That’s good to hear. I’ve heard the same from others who are running that tire. I think they look good and should perform very well. |
