Post subject:  Lost the Lib

Our stable consists of a 02 GC Overland and the 06 Lib. The liberty was mine and the wife thought it was dorky. Then the GC had the Heater core go out, then the engine, now electrical problems. So, she decided the Lib wasn't so dorky and wanted that, so I get the problem vehicle. I think I have most of the stuff sorted out, but she no longer trusts it.

Yay  .

I don't mind though, the 4.7 HO is fun to drive, but the liberty felt a lot tighter and stable.

Now I'm debating on what the trade the GC for. Thought about another lib, but I should probably get something that gets a little better mileage.

Wosrt is all my Liberty plans are cancelled or at best put on indefinite hold.

Just talking here, no biggie.

 that's funny, in a sad, unfunny way. At least you get to keep the KJ in the stable. What would look good parked beside it? I'm thinking Wrangler...keep it Jeep!

Holy spit, I just cracked 600. Took me long enough.

Get something that she would like and then you can get the KJ back.

I liked the Honda Element for its total utilitary capability. Just wipe down the interior and the floor, cool doors, cool sunroof. But then I realized NO 4LO!!! Just a 4x4 pretender!!!! It does get decent mileage, but you got that covered with the CRD!!!

It would get her though the winters here in ohio, plus haul the dogs and kids around in style...even if it is a funky style. It would fit her needs just fine.

The GC has 70K on it.

I want to get an Audi or BMW 5 series or something like that, 2000 or 2001 ish they are comming in around 10-14K depending on miles/engine. The wife is completely against this. She wants to get an 03 or 04 grand, which she will take back. The worst thing is that we wouldn't be able to afford anything close to the overland option/engine wise. So we'd end up with a 4.0 Laredo, not cool.

I wouldn't mind the Liberty back, I love it, but I'm starting to put a lot of miles on for my job and don't really want to pile them on the Lib at 15mpg, which will only get worse if I start to modify, which I can't seem to not do to any vehicle I own.

Very frustrating.

You let your wife take the Libby without a fight  ? My Mom could never do that to my Dad, she can't drive stick shifts to save her life  . Seriously, you have to learn to get used to the couch sometime  .

It does make my life a little easier as now she doesn't call me every 20 minutes with a noise that the GC is making.

She can't drive stick either, which means this sedan I want to buy has to be auto so she can drive it if I need the Lib.
