Went off roading tonight and went over a couple bumps that caused the front suspension to fully extend so that it was hitting hard. Then on the way home i heard squeaking from the front that almost seemed like the wheels were rubbing but then whenever i would stop quick at a stop sign something else would squeak which leads me to believe that its not the wheels. CV boots looked good, nothing else on the wheels but it was dark out and ill have to get a better look tomorrow.

In the mean time any ideas?

I hopped a curb the other day and mine did the same thing. A squeak klunk sound from the rear. 2 days after, it disappeared and all was normal. Never found out what it was.

Off road it is possible for your shocks to extend fully or compress completely (hitting the upper bump stop). Possibly your sway bar bushings are dry. Get under there with a can of silicone spray and hit them good.

Is there any extra bouncing that you can feel going over bumps or coming to a stop? If not, then your shocks/struts are likely not "blown." You can also test for this by pushing down on the corners of your bumpers...if one goes down easier than the others then you could have a problem on that corner.

Yea i don't think they're blown because it rides the same and it does sound like it could be the sway bars now that im thinking about it i'll try spraying them good.

Thanks.

"Blown" shocks usually leak oil as an indicator.

I used to have an Old Ford Ranger that used to sqeak like crazy every time I go over a bump or even when I turn the corner.
I didn't care to fix it too much but people used to tell me it was the shocks that are making that sqeak but I thought it was some bushings. its probably not your shocks.
