a new rear gate inner plastic panel thingy...that's the technical name (the plastic part inside). Any ideas? I was looking at it today and of the 12 or so clips that hold it on there are only 3 that are still intact. It is practically falling off at this point. I think the dealer must have done a real number on it when they "fixed" another problem I was having with the glass...but that was so long ago I can't prove it. |

I'd probably still contact them and have them pull up the repair order, see wich one of their "Yaaa-Hooos"done the work, and contest that it happened on your rear latch recall.I'm just thinking thats what you had it there for?If you don't get any results then I would check on a product that 3-M makes called "Plastic Weld".It's a two chamber epoxy made especialy for plastic and works very well.Or get out the old soldering gun and some zip-ties and weld them clip holders back in. Glad Im not the only one that ended up with broken clips! If only I would of checked that after they worked on it. that was the ONLY time the dealer has ever touched my Jeep and they screwed it up. |

If dealer is not going to fix it, I would try the junk yard cause the new part from the dealer would probably be A LOT. |

Yeah, I need to call and see what the dealer is going to charge. If it is crazy expensive (and it probably is) I'm thinking of just sticking the plastic cover to the metal with some black RTV sealant. Kinda ghetto, but definitely cheap. And I could probably still remove it if needed in the future. |

The dealer did a recall on the rear gate of mine with the same results,I took it back and they ordered and put a new rear gate cover last year,They use these clips on many panels on the jeep and they snap very easy - They should go back to using screws. |

Hey Skyjump, I can't help you, but I just wanted to say I really enjoyed seeing your liberty at Lithia a couple of weeks ago. It was perfect...very nice. Did you go with the orange and blue look out of a love for the Denver Broncos, or do you just like the scheme? Nice either way, but go broncos... |

It's actually blue and red. It just sort of happened because so many parts of the lift were red. When my armor got all banged up and needed re-painting I just went with the matching color. It was nice to meet you too...looking forward to seeing you out on the trails! |
