Hey there, sorry for all the questions, just got the vehicle and am paranoid right now. But i have a question about the parking brake. When i go to park and pull up the parking brake, after i get to a certain point it like pops into place, like all the resistance goes away. Like it is locking in. I didnt experience this on the other kj's i drove. I wanted to see if someone could shed some light on this, is it supposed to do that? The wierd thing is, is that it doesnt always do it, i guess its depends on how hard i pull. Any help would be great, thanks guys. |

I believe the brake just needs to be adjusted... Pull the brake up slow and it works fine, pull it up fast and I feel like i'm going to pull it through the top of the plastic cover... |

Mine doesn't do that so no good ideas however if you'll search for adjusting parking brake - JeepJeepster has had a couple of really good posts on adjusting the rear brake - and adjusted the cable and lever. |
