Yep, this system has been in Wood and American Woodworker. Very good system. My current woodworking has taken my away from plywood because it's hard on blades (Yes, I have 'beater' blades just for ply) and I am focusing on using hardwoods. I guess I am a bit old fashioned because it can't see putting my hand planes (two are from the 1920's and in great shape) in/on a plywood container. Using figured maple or quartersawn oak for the cabinet is a better home. But that's just me. The key is having an organized garage no matter what system you choose. It will help you get something done faster, safer and you'll have more fun doing it. Not to mention the pride of seeing your nieghbors calling your garage a 'dream' garage. Even if it's only a 1 car garage!! :P
