Post subject:  New Seats?

I have an opportunity to get some new front seats from a buddy of mine. I don't want to waste his time or mine if they don't fit....and with over 100K on mine, they need some love.

Anyone try a Mastercraft TJ seat in the KJ yet? I don't mind giving it a go as a guinnea pig, but if someone already tried and crashed and burned, it would save me some time...

Anyone?

I can't say anything about MasterCraft but I do know that Corbeau make the seat tracks for the KJ so you can bolt there seats in.They might work for the MasterCrafty seats to.

I'm seriously considering picking up a pair from a PT Cruiser Turbo this week...not sure if they'll bolt in, but for $120, I can make em work

I'd go for it....I looked at them and it does not seem like it would be too hard to get them to fit....Looked like with a little drilling the stock mnts will work. I want some BAD! I have PRP's in the Bronco and LOVE suspension seats! SOOOOO compfy!

Post subject:  Arm Rests on KJ?

Arm rests on a KJ. Has anyone done this? The standard middle arm rest is too short for my use. Would like to add some from a captains chair or a GC something. Any one done this? Ideas?

I actually like my kj seats. Just wish the driver seat went back another inch or two for more leg room. I'm 6' and my right knee starts to hurt after about 100 miles or so. I'm off today, think i'm gonna attempt to move the seat back about 2 more inches. :)

This is my single biggest complaint with this rig. I've been surprised not to have seen more discussion of seat
mods. My '06 Limited has leather seats, which I can take or leave, but they are too tall, too hard, and need more of a
"bucket" to them. I feel like I'm riding around in a fishbowl. I'm only 6' but tend to slump in the seat to get a better
view instead of just seeing my hood and the road immediately in front of me because of the low roofline.
Any bolt-in replacements that could improve things?

These are suspecions seats working on the principle of a hammock. They are pricy but you can adjust them any way to your desire. Hope you find it informative. Good Luck 8)
