Post subject:  Posting Pics from Picasa?
Has anyone had luck posting pics from Picasa? Everything looks fine from my laptop, but when i try to view from another computer, nothing shows up. Any suggestions?

Is picasa an online hosting site? In order to post pictures, they'll need to be stored at an online website like your personal home page or at a site similar to car domain...

Not sure I'm answering your question only because I haven't a clue about what PICASA is

Try this:

Right click on the picturer on your screen and take a look at the properties. There should be a url there. Put that in the

[img]url[/img] format and see if it works. I would try it myself but im at work right now and there is no right click enabled on this pc :evil:

I tried using Picassa a while back because they had a nice plug-in to upload directly from within iPhoto. Unfortunatly, I could not get it to work with this forum either. It might be something about the way that Picassa stores the files, but I cant get it to work. I tried for a long time... :cry:

Thanks for the info... I guess I will continue using Car Domain for the one off pictures, and provide a link to my public gallery for multiple pics.

What I don't understand is, why when I do [img][img]%20it%20shows%20up%20on%20the%20computer%20I%20am%20posting%20from%20when%20I%20Preview%20the%20post,%20but%20when%20I%20go%20to%20another%20computer,%20it%20just%20shows%20up%20as%20a%20missing%20picture.%20I%20guess%20it%20is%20like%20finding%20out%20how%20many%20licks%20it%20takes%20to%20get%20to%20the%20center%20of%20a%20tootsie%20pop...%20the%20world%20may%20never%20know.[/img]

are these pictures uploaded to a website or are you using the path of the picture as it sits on the computer?

Picasa allows you to upload your pics to a public website. THen others can view them with a link you provide. I don't know anymore than that as I have some pics in a public folder but haven't tried to link to individual pics.

As you can see, the IMG link using the properties does not produce an image on the LOST site like a cardomain property does. Anyone know why?
