my brakes are vibrating. When applying light brake pressure at mid-higher speeds the steering wheel jiggles back and forth pretty aggressivly. Normally, I would think it was warped rotors, but I just replaced them a couple months ago. Also they don't pulsate at slow speed, and I don't feel that front to back motion associated with rotor warpage. Any ideas?

Either you have a sex toy connected to your brake pedal or it's warped rotors 8)

Take the rotors off and have a shop machine then to see if they are warped.

What kinda rotors did you go with? What size tires are you running now?

Did you replace the pads at the same time as the rotors? Can only be two things pad or rotors! My guess is warped rotors.

Maybe a caliper that isn't working right? Causing extra pressure on one side? Or unbalanced tires?

Hey, that sound a lot like what my jeep's just started doing. Steering wheel vibration at mid-high speeds, not low. My pad thickness was still ok 4 months, 8000k ago, and I don't use the brakes real aggressively, try to gear down instead to keep rotor temp down.

If it is rotors, should pads be replaced at same time?'

Also, anybody here paint their calipers? Wanted to take mine off and do them when pads needed replacing.

My breaks just started doing the same thing. I had to hit the breaks at high speed on the expressway and the wheel shook so bad I almost lost hold of it. With three kids in the back, that was scary stuff. I am taking it in this week.

I replaced the rotors and not the pads they only had 1K.
Painted the calipers as well. Few coats of Krylon did the job.
