The weather varies there every year. You really never know what you are going to get and regardless, It is awesome in Moab. |

It's the height of tax season. I might not be able to make it this year. Hopefully, seniority has its advantages. |

Are there any requerements for Libertys that attend, like tow hooks, skids and such or is even a plain stock Sport good to go? |

We will get up a minimum requirement list based on trail level. Stay tuned. A stocker can have a lot of fun in Moab and there are many trails to do in stock form. The normal minimum really should be recovery points front and rear. I would even suggest them for a rarely used off road KJ just in case. (I think it is rediculous that they are not standard equipment on a Jeep |

Maybe it would have been better if it was held in late April or even in May. Ah screw the weather, let's have a great time. Hopefully I can make it out their. |

If noone can make that trip I know that my local Jeep Club, Midsouth Jeep, is heading out to Moab in early June. I'll be there from June 9-13, 2 of those days, though, will be spent on the White Rim Trail however, 11 and 12...so feel free to let me know and I'll forward ya more details on our trip too....BUT I highly recommend you hit up the LOST event if you can...looks like a great time with like minded individuals and rigs.... As far as skids go, i've never had any and have been lucky to visit Moab and not had a TRUE need for them, not to say I plan on doing that again but at least I can say I lucked out most likely...Trails I took were Fins and Things, Klondike Bluffs, Baby Lions Back, Geyser Pass, and La Sal Pass. |

Man - talk about Klondike Bluffs - Thats a nice easy trail, but there is a REALLY NICE side trail that you can take instead of retracing your steps all the way back out that has an AWESOME down hill section over lots of rocks and lets you out into the back roads of Arches NP. This is commonly called the "Salt Valley Connector". I cannot wait to run that again, and hopefully we can make it a scheduled trail so many more can experience it. |

Yea Klondike Bluffs is fun...went back near some old mine shafts on one side of it, the Baby steps, that aremarked in the trail guide book have been destroyed so you can't take them anymore...I tell ya what it makes for a great night trail around sunset, thats what I and bigd and Zeero did...

Also my avatar pic is from Klondike Bluffs trail... Here is the bigger image of it...
Not to mention you will be on a former active game trail...
I thought that was the coolest part of the whole trip...to just stop and imagine those creatures walking where i am now standing and able to drive was incredible |

So who is up for trail leading Klondike? |

I can do that.... We actually took the trail without having a leader that run it before - I just followed instructions on one of the books - now that I have run it once, i can easily lead this one next year. The only part that we might need to look out for is the exit to Salt Valley - A stocker can do that with no problems - just take it slow and its all fun |
