My jeep has always been starting funny, especially in the winter, but lately, it sounds like it is skipping a beat when cranking.
It is like it startes and suddenly stops for a split second then continues. Then I have no problems stalling or rough idling..
What could be the problem? Battery? Spark plugs? messed up fuel injectors???

I have dumped STP full protection once, it didn't do anything at all.. so what could be the cause, and if anyone is experiencing the same thing?

is it a crank for stop for a split secon crank engine start
hard as hell when I can not make the sound of the engine cranking and then pause for a split second
but if that is what you are getting it could be a dead or bad spot on the starter
so what happens is that it spins the starter but hits the bad spot so it stops but is in motion so it just skips over the bad spot and keeps going
I had an old '65 ford that had starter issues all the time some would get so bad that they would spin but the gear that turns the engine would not kick out ,tap it with a hammer and it would start
once the starter got stuck starting sit would keep starting after you let the key go to run and kept spinning after I shut the key off
I had to put it in first hold the break and stall it so it would stop ,scary

I bet its the starter, or related electronics.

I can take it to dealer, but they will probably say "we don't hear nothing wrong with it" or some other silly answer..
I hope it doesn't get worse in the winter.

They did that when I bought one of my porsches. The spoiler would work whenever it wanted too. Its supposed to go up at 120kmph and come down at 60. Unless you toggled the manual switch. Which did nothing. Sometimes it would just work whenever.

"Its supposed to do that". Well when I brought it in to get fixed (after about 5 visits), it was continuously going up and down. lol, like it was waving. Bye Bye Saving account.

Have you ever had the spark plugs changed? How many miles do you have now? What brand of gas do you use?

No changes to spark plugs, unless the dealer changed them during one of their $700 maintenance drills... which I highly doubt. Got 40k on mine now.
Gas? Generally Getty or Mobile but is it the same place I almost always bought since I got my KJ
