i know this is the umpteenth tire question, bear with me please. I just found out that the dealership I work for lets me buy anything I want and pay it out of my checks a little bit at a time (excluding cars and engines and stuff) so I'm going to get some all terrain 245/75-16's. not sure what exact model/brand I have to see what we carry. Anyway I pounded down my pinch weld in anticipation of going a bit with a bigger tire and no lift. How do you think this is gonna work out? |

i dont think a 245 75 will fit when i set my mtrs next to the front wheelwell it looks like it would have very little room to turn. I think a 245 70 will fit without a lift and maybe slight rubbing. IIRC though so dont quote me on it im sure others will fill you in |

someone on here put moab's and mt/r's on a stock liberty, and it was tight. you could drive straight but turning may be an issue. |

well iv got a lift with 245 75s and I had rubbing in the front of the well any time I turned so you will probably end up cutting out alot of the front. |

I have Cepek M/T tires, LT 245/75 R16's on Cragar 16" soft 8's with a 2-1/2 full spring lift and you're gonna rub in the front when you turn just like mine does. I would think worse w/o a lift. After the pinch pound over (pound 'em over, not in), you'll need to radius off the lower valence or air thingy underneath and the bottom edge of your front bumper + clip your bottom bumper edge about a 1/2". I work in a fabrication shop so I designed and created some very sanitary little brackets to hold the plastic inner fender forward and away from the tire. They bolt right onto the underneath side of the front bumper where the is a fog/driving light indent is. Do I need to punch and form a sheet full of these little brackets for everyone??? Landy |

I still get slight rubbing on the fog light door area in reverse with steering at full lock. |
