Has anyone used this? I can’t imagine this would be good for engine or more to the point I don’t know how the car wouldn’t stall? http://www.4by4connection.com/powerjac.html It’s a recovery device when you are stuck in sand or mud. The concept is a large inflatable bag/bladder with a hose that you stick around your tail pipe. You put the bag under the frame of your Jeep, and the pressure from the exhaust will inflate the bag and lift the body off the ground. We the whole – “we’re not gonna fall for no banana in the tailpipe routine” apply here? (just so you don’t think I’m crazy I’m referring to the scene in Beverly Hills Cop) |

I know of a couple of fire departments that use these for lifting cars off of people, they work really good |

I heard they do work well too. just make sure you don't try to suck the gas out afterwards and get the silly helium voice!!! |

Seriously? I mean I know you can use bags like that to lift things, I have even heard of cops using them to lift subway cars off people who feel on the tracks but that’s with compressed air. Is there really enough pressure coming out of the exhaust? Do you have to rev the engine very high to keep it from stalling? Is it bad for the engine? If not it sounds like a great device if you’re wheel’n alone on a beach or snow, or mud and you don’t have a winch and no one else to pull you out. |

With any vehicle just sitting and running there is a good amount of exhaust gas coming out so it would not take long to pump it up at all. I dont htink it would stall the motor out as the exhaust gases would still be leaving the tail pipe you would just be capturing them. |

As long you can get to your tail pipe and your engine is still running |
