If the 255/70/16s I have on order do not fit (I m getting nervous about the UCA and knuckle now) with stock rims, what is the best (and cheapest) solution. I would assume wheel spacers are cheaper than rims, but I hope somebody would talk me out of them as I know they are not the best scenario. Pretty much my two choices? |

about the same price if they are needed, Spidertrax spacer 200 for new sometimes find used ones for less wheels would be about or little bit more for black steelies What tires are you going with again? |

general grabber at2 hopefully on stock rims. 30.1 x 10.2 After the lift I rub with stock tires on the sway bar front right, dont care, expect way worse with wider tires... However, after looking closer, it seems pretty darn close as is between tire and nuckle (where UCA and knuckle come together at the ball joint) and the coil if at droop... obviously still concerned even though I have asked you about your 255/70 at least 10 times it would be a mess to have the tires on and have serious probs with on road travel... i could proly ride the horse to school (it is a vet school at least) but you get the point... thanks for the concern again! |

Some "Speed Shops" still carry the "1/4" wheel spacers...by Mr Gasket I believe. As long as it leaves you enuff threaded stud to bolt on your wheels, that might do the trick. Something like these: http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch ... 4294906458 Of course they have a statement not to use on just about everything to CYA... |

Thanks Darby. More ammo for the belt. Price is 1/2 on those compared to spidertrax, also less worrysome at 1/4" Hope I dont need them. I might have pulled the trigger to quickly on ordering the tires, but I have not paid for them yet |

Thought those were what you are going with, like I said since I have the Moabs its different than with the stockers. I know Sean150s rub (grabbers) and he has black 8 inch steels, just have to install and see what, when and where, The 255 70s will be a tad shorter which may help you some BUT they are almost a half inch wider so back to the same thing maybe |

I have the General Grabber AT2 in 255/70/16 on stock sport rims. I also have the Frankenlift. I only have minimal rubbing near the fog light covers when turning and flexing and slight rub on Als upper control arms near full lock. It is minimal in both cases and I am not worried about it at all. I have considered some spacers to eliminate the rubbing on the UCA, but it just hasn't bothered me enough to mess with yet. |

I've got some custom 10mm 6061-T6 billet aluminum spacers and some ET lug nuts in the works. I'm going to be lifting it with a Frankenlift II Premium with Al's arms and probably 1 extra isolator each side in the rear as soon as the rear shocks come in. I'm probably going to be putting 255/70R17 Destination AT's on 17X7.5" rims with 5.5" backspacing and the 10mm spacers. I'm hoping this will get them off the arms, but not push them out far enough to cause bad rubbing anywhere else. I'd prefer not to do more than flatten the pinch weld, and heat gun the fog lamp area. I'll let you know how these work out, and if they need to be a different thickness. These are being customised for me by a tool and die company, but would be made available to anyone here for a group buy with our specifications. |

I have the FLII but after they took out the daystar spacers. Plus 3/8'' clevis and one extra isolator. All spings are HD wich makes a difference, it is sitting tall I am pretty sure. Tall enough. I am not worried about height. I do not have Als UAA's, which would help a bit, I think. I have never asked, but would Als UAA's help me achieve 0 camber? Firestone was not able to get it there. I am just now learning about IFS geometry... The fattest part of my middle finger touches the tire and the joint of the UCA and knuckle (UBJ), with stock tires. This is what is worry some in regards to 255/70/16's. Guess I mount them up and see...might try to talk to any close junkyards, a set of 5 KJ rims is not likely to be found but...might be worth the time. Whatever. It will be worth it in the end. I really do like this little diesel b@stard child. Thanks fotheinfo so far |
