Has anybody seen this?

"Please keep in mind that you MUST run 16" or larger wheels on the Liberty. 15" wheels will not clear the brake assemblies unfortunately. We get asked this all the time... no 15's!"

Im running 15s and havent had any problems, Has anyone had problems running 15s?

There are not many 15" rims that will clear the brakes, there are some that don't fit, both steel and alloy.

RRO knows it easier to say they don't fit if only a few work than they will fit and only a few work.

its also a liability thing, if they say some will fit, then when someone's doesnt fit, then it could be construed as RRO fault because they said some will

manufacturers make it easier to say they wont, than some will

They don't fit generally, especially aluminum rims. I just picked up a set form a cherokee and they wont fit, and actually not due to the brakes, but due to the steering linkages. Fortunately for me, all I need to do is get some 1" spacers and that will solve my problem, I just finished checking everything this morning to make sure that using spacers would fix the problem.

I also found that (at least my 17 factory stock wheels) the wheels on the Liberty are NOT hubcentric. I was under the impression they were, but when there is zero contact pattern between the hub and center bore of the wheel, and you can move the wheel side to side when it's flat against the hub, that is a sure sign they are not hub centric. There is actually a fairly thick layer of corrosion on the wheel and hub where they would contact if it were a true hub centric design. So that means I don't have to spend the extra money on a set of hub centric spacers, because they wouldn't do squat unless they were designd to turn the lug centric design of my liberty into a hub centric, but what's the point??

I think that mine work because i have very little backspacing. I have a good half inch from the steerting joint
