What would be good for synthetic oils to use on my kj for its tune up?
Axle fluid, tranny fluid, transfer case fluid, engine oil etc..

I was going to go amsoil but there are a few issues on the price diff, boarder taxes and shipping cost to Canada so i will figure that out with one of the dealers on my next tuneup/oil change.

For now i need a good oil at a good cost to use for this current one.

I was thinkin mobil 1 synthetic oil for the engine and a wix filter but i do not know what to use for the rest.

Also for the tranny flush do i need to replace the tranny filter this time around or wait until the next one?

Mobil 1 is good for the engine,I run and no problems. As far as the tranny and t-case just use ATF+4,that is what is already in them and it is synthetic also,I would pony up the extra $$$ and have the filters changed also.I also use Royal Purple(synthetic) in the diffs, works great, you can also use the Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil to.

I hear you on the Amsoil, just to big of a hassle with the shipping, great stuff though.

You would do much better using Mobil 1 or Castrol on the diffs than the RP as they tested pretty good and didn't fail any tests. RP gear oil didn't exactly live up to its claims in recent testing.

Do you tow/offroad heavily? If not go with 75w-90 for the diffs,if yes go with 75w-140. ATF+4 goes in the t-case(as stated in my first post).

The Wix filter is a decent choice for sure and one of the regular performance filters that Amsoil sells.

Post subject:  Go AMSOIL

If you do some research you will find that AMSOIL is the leader in synthetic lubricants. I have been an Amsoil Dealer since 1977. I use Amsoil from bumper to bumper, when I first purchased my Liberty last year I installed a K&N air filter. After joining L.O.S.T. I heard about the new Amsoil dry filter. Amsoil for years had a oils soaked air filter but I hadn't paid attention. {The only reason I became an AMSOIL dealer was to get a discounted price on oil and do the same for my freinds} Recently I found out about the Amsoil dry air filter, upon replacing I went from 13.5 MPG to 16-17 MPG. I have been an Amsoil dealer since 1997. I truly beleive that Amsoil is the best, there are other synthetic lubricants out there. But Amsoil was the pioneer the started the party and come back to the dance year after year and win the prize as the best. I'm not saying you need to by Amsoil from me, many many L.O.S.T. members are Amsoil dealers. Like myself we arn't in it for the sale we just want the best for our baby's.
The most gratifing recent event was on cable TLC channel American Hot Rod, Boyd Coddington brought a car to the Bonneville salt flat with a car his wife drove using Amsoil. Check it out you will find many racers are using AMSOIL, unfortunatley many other sponcers have deeper pockets, but once you start researching you will find AMSOIL the leader.

Go to: http://www.amsoil.com/IndexArray.aspx

The start surfing the prices you will see are retail come back to l.O.S.T. and you can find a dealer happy to help you.
Check things out.
Yes you can find other products out there, but will you find a superior product "I Don't Think So"

lol yes i know amsoil is good, i said it in my first post, the problem is getting the dealers here at lost to get it shipped out to Canada. the boarder fees, taxes, currency difference, shipping to Canada. Dealers are having a hard time figuring out a final price they need from me. THAT is why i was putting amsoil products on hold. I have no doubt it is very good stuff and i would love to use it, but i already know at this moment i cannot afford to buy it at retail price.

And the dealers on here are finding it difficult to get it out to Canada for the proper amount of money trying to add up the additional fees.

Part of the problem is the Amsoil site I use does not show shipping costs to Canada so it is hard for me to give an accurate quote and accept payment by the means I use. I don't know what the pricing difference is or why there is one but once you include a Canadian address the pricing goes up even under my dealer account. I don't know why and I have not taken the time to research it further. I will however be looking for the answer so I can report back what they tell me on it.
