what is needed to put the new 07 17" rubicon wheels on a kj? i know the bolt patterns are different, will a 5 on 4.5 to 5 on 5 adapter work or do you think it will push the wheel to far out???? any input would be greatly appreciated...

Adapter would work but it would likely cause rubbing in several spots. It certainly woudn't work w/out a lift and some trimming.

With the normally deeper offset the MOABs have, and a 1" or more spacer for the conversion, I'd think it would stick out WAY to far.

Maybe a new rotor :D

My 04 Moabs sit right at the edge of the wheel well so with a spacer it would be way out there for sure, also if you go to tuck them up in it would be tearing off the fenders for sure! My 255 70s are sort of narrow but when tucked up in still rub some, so I would not want to really even try running 07s and spacers

get some 17" aev wheels, they look pretty nice (especially in the argent color)

now that I just went and looked at the AEV website, the backspacing on their 17" rims is way too little for the kj... but the 16" wheels are pretty nice nevertheless. Something to at least consider as an alternative to the rubicon wheels (which seems to be a massive trend among kj owners, in case you like to do things a little different)

speaking of which, anyone have some pics of a kj with AEV wheels? Id like to know what one looks like with some of those wheels on it.
