Services will be this Saturday the 20th at:
Pleasant Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary.
1700 Pleasant Hill Road
Sebastopol, CA 95472.

There will be a public viewing from 09:00-10:45. The actuall service will be closed casket starting at 11:00.

Please have people RSVP ASAP if you could.

As far as donations go, anything towards keeping the trails open would be Matts number one charity. So something along that lines would be perfect.

Thanks again.

Paul

Thanks to those that can attend for going.

More info on donations in Matts name:

Matts son Paul told me that he is sure that MAtt would prefer that we send donations/contributions in his name in lieu of flowers, etc. to an off road access organization so I contacted Blue Ribbon Coalition for info. What follows is what I have so far. I will work this until it is done so PLMK if you have any questions on it via email at jjmat3@verizon.net

Hello John,

We do have a memorial program in place allowing people to donate or join "in memory of."

All you need do is notify me of your wish to set up a memorial fund. If you could provide a little information on the individual, we can make the memorial notice in the Magazine more meaningful. The memorial notice will also list all those donating or joining in memory of the individual. It is especially important for the people sending in donations or memberships to note that they are in memory of ...

Please email or call me,

I am still working this but if folks could PLEASE take this opportunity to contribute to an organization that Matt would support it would be very cool.

I will have more details soon.

Thanks, John

JJ,
Just let us know. I am sure that everybody has a few pennies laying around to donate in memory of Matt. I think that the BRC is a great way to show our support to LilMatty.

On the internet, people can join or donate in memory of Matt at
https://sharetrails.org/secure/join_or_contribute/. To make sure we know
that it is an "in memory of" membership or donation, they need only to click
on the button next to "Contribution Instructions" and then type Matt's name
in the box. This will work even if it is a membership.

Memberships and donations may also be sent by mail to:

BlueRibbon Coalition
4555 Burley Drive Ste A
Pocatello ID 83202

In addition, we can accept memberships or donations by phone at
1-800-258-3742, ext 100.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help,

Just renewed for another two years.

Note:

There has been space reserved in the December issue of the BRC magazine to list contributions and an article in honor of Matt. The names of those who contribute by October 31st will appear in that issue.

If you are already a member of BRC, this is a good opportunity to renew under the memorial to Matt. Just list Matt Townsend in the notes section.

If you are not aware, it is only $20 to join BRC and you get a monthly color magazine that has articles about trail access or pending closure issues. It is the best way to be in the loop on fighting for your trails.

* sigh *

I get bummed again every time I think about Moab 2008 without Matt.

But I've got my LilMatty Memorial Intel Bunny Guy all ready to go, and we'll all have a great time anyway...in Matt's honor! He'd want it that way.
