What kind of a clutch pack do you guys recommend? I'm in the market for a new one (Jeep has 94,000 km's on it) and am getting a bunch of chattering/shuttering when I first start to move on cold days. I also have a metal on metal grinding sound when in 4x4. The sound is not present when just in 2 hi. I've just got it back for other mechanical work and the mech mentioned that the bearings in the t-case are going. I do trust the guy, his wife is my g/f's friend, and he's one of my hunting buddies. Are there better places to buy from? The shop quoted $444 for clutch kit, $390 for a bearing rebuild kit. Sound reasonable? N |

I have a 2004 5 speed with 86k on it clutch still good I am the only driver that's why. I have always used OEM parts because of how long they have lasted. I read about aftermarket parts not lasting as long. If you clutch lasted this long seems that the OEM parts are pretty good. |
