Hey guys. This has probably been discussed before, and I've seen the concurrent thread regarding P0441. I'm just wondering hw many of you have had this code (Evap Emissions Control, major leak) and how you remedied it. I know that the gas cap sometimes causes codes like this, but I've never seen the gas cap cause the major leak code. Anybody have any ideas on where to start? The light has been on for about 2 months and no adverse drivability problems have been noted. Thanks!! |

I had the small leak/gross leak problems. I replaced the gas cap because it was easy and cheap. That didn't fix it. I checked all the lines and couldn't find any cracks or disconnected hoses. It turned out to be my purge solenoid which was an easy fix and relatively cheap ($20ish). If you search my posts, I think I described how to check if it's working correctly. |
