When driving on the highway, there is a distinct whistling noise coming from the front part of the driver side window, kind of like the noise you hear when the window is cracked very slightly (down that is). Anyone else experience this or does it sound like a bad window seal?

I haven't had that problem but I'd look at the weatherstripping in the door or the cowl seal.

I hear it sometimes also. Never really bothered me though as I keep the windows down the majority of the time anyway.

I have that problem and it wasn't bad enought to waste time taking it in to the dealer. Now I am out of warranty and live with it. I read that some KJ's have a rubber molding at the top of the windshield and others have had that rubber piece installed when they had a broken windshield replaced.

I suppose you could run a bead of silicon alontg that top edge to get rid of the noise. I usually have the radio on so really don't notice it much and some hearing loss to go al;ong with that.

I saw this neet little trick on TRUCKS TV on spike he was calling it the one dollar fix, and it works I tried it myself. My '02 Sport would with the window all the way up, would make a whistleing noise on the highway or anywhere else up to speed and it would leak water in a car wash. This leak was in the upper passenger side window at the top corner where the front turns into the roof. It was leaking at that corner. To double check place a one dolar bill in the space where you think the leak is take the dollar and place it in the door and close it where as you can with the widow down pull the dollar back and forth. It should give resistance or not even move unless your in the leak area. Anyway with the window all the way down, open the door grab the top of the door with both hands and place your knee against the inside of the door at the point in line with the erea where the window is loose aroung the dollar. Push forward with your knee while pulling the top of the door towards you, don't be bashfull give it a good pull with the hand while pushing with your knee. When you try the dollar bill again you should notice a fair amount of resistance. When I saw it done I thought, well I've done alot of sillier things in my life. I tried it it worked my passenger side leak doesn't whistle anymore. If this doesn't totally correct the problem check with your auto parts store and tell them you want some thing like a rope putty. It has more names in different sections of the country , stickum , dum dum, ect.ect.ect. Anyway pull a little piece off roll it in you hands like play-doh making a snake. At the whislte area roll the weather strip away from the door and behind the weather strip put a small amount of the dum-dum in and then close it up and try the dollar again that little piece of putty will put preasure on the weather strip from behind giving it enough pressure to seal and stop leaking or making anoying noises. plus it's a lot less messy then silicone.
