On my 2005 crd sport,I noticed that there was oil spot on the ground under the rear diff.It has 2500 miles on it ,basically highway miles on it.Look like it coming out the pinion seal area and looks like the level of the diff.is low. Parking it until i take it to the dealer and have them look at it.Has anybody else have any problem with a leak from this area. Thanks Chris

I've seen a lot of Libbys with excess fluid from the overflow tube

Mine did (2004 Liberty Sport) the guy that works on mine is a master Jeep mechanic and said that it was normal. I have had no problems from it and the fluid levels are perfect.

I am sorry to say, this looks like a common problem on Jeeps. My wife's Grand, my old Admin. Asst. Grand, my Liberty, my Mom's Grand all have a leaky rear pinion seal. I met a TJ owner this weekend and she said her seal was also leaking. Unbalanced driveshafts? Don't know why they all leak.
