has anyone thought of putting the Wrangler Trail guide system in their Liberty? My buddy has one in his wrangler and it is really cool. I'm wondering if it would work in the liberty. |

http://www.wyckoffchryslerparts.com/jewrtrgunasy.html It has a portable gps unit but it is custom setup for the Jeep , it even has Jeep branding on it. the little docking stations also slides shut to hide the gps uit, if you don't know what it is you will never suspect it has a gps unit inside. |

I checked Ebay and you can get the setup for about $600 as oppesed to Wyckoff's $800. |

It's really just a standard Garmin GPS unit sitting in a plastic cover/case that fits the contour of the Wrangler top tray. One of the Jeep magazines had a write up on it awhile ago. I looked at it. The cover is the wrong contour for a KJ and you can buy a better GPS unit alone for less money. Just use a RAM bracket or windshield mount. Go here to read about the unit itself: http://www8.garmin.com/products/trailguide/ |
