Woot, got it all transfered over into my name. When i bought the jeep, my other car still had a good amount of insurance left on it, and it was in my dads name because we bought the other one in his name since i was too young to sign it myself. So all the time even though i have been paying for it all and driving it, my dad still has never driven it, but it was still in his name

Today the insurance ran out so now we transfered it all over and now its 100% mine!

no i could have changed it over but then i would have to cancel the current insurance and redo it for a year and then i would miss out on ym additional discount until it had to be renew again. And since the previous insurance was in my dads name, it still was until the old insurance ran out. When i bought my first car at the age of 16 from a dealership, they said i was too young and i had to let me dad buy it and me co sign it.

Something like that lol, but not anymore! lol

Congrats on the Jeep! It is pretty cool when you finallyt get the title with your name on it!

I have an 03 that was bought brand new in 03, and it was in my parents name until August of this year. They paid for it, and I "leased" it from them. I was in school and couldn't afford the full payment, so I paid a fraction of it each month. For a graduation present (like I had hoped) they gave me it and said I don't owe anymore. So I got a $23000 KJ for about $10,000. Worked out well for me. I was very happy!

Plus now it's mine, I can start modifying it....

Are your parents looking to adopt? I could use the financial assistance.

dont jinx it by talking about it LOL...both my last car and my wifes were in wrecks just within a year of paying both off. the beauty of no car payment was short lived at my house.  I didn't even get to brag about it too long. doh!!! one was a semi rearending my wife when she was 8 months pregnant, the other was my car going off the road on a long curving exit ramp in a horrific ice storm....road was curving.....we were not in the car. guard rails and sign posts don't work to well polishing up a car.

congrats and enjoy your KJ....may it live long for many many years to come.

I'm a little confused. You were driving on a curvy, slippery exit ramp, but you weren't in the car when it went off the road and wrecked? What did you do? Tuck and roll?

oops...sorry my punctuation and bad sentence...road was curving....we, in the car, were not curving....LOL. tuck and roll, yes, tuck and roll. LOL It sucked...we were going about 20 mph and it all seemed to be in slow motion. It happens...the one with my wife was another story. That was a living day from hell. I am the luckiest man alive to have both my wife and 2nd child here. They had a guardian angel that day or it was a miracle.
