HELP HELP HELP!

I have developed a squeak! It only does it in reverse and only at a very slow speed (1 or 2mph). It goes squeak squeak squeak. The faster I go the faster the squeak is. It may be that when I think it stops it is just squeaking so fast that I can no longer hear it. NOW....TELL ME TO GO AHEAD AND ORDER THE FRANKIE LIFT.......THINKING WIFE! :twisted:

check the rear u joints sometimes they will start squeaking like that when they are ready to go, no lube/grease anymore so squeak/ squeak/ squeak

It may be your pads rubbing the discs, sometimes after parking overnight after being in the rain mine does it until i use the brake and remove the surface rust.

No rain and it's been doing it for 2 days now. I just heard it today after the wife told me about it. Normally I have the sat. radio to loud to hear it!!

i would guess brakes. See if the squeaking stops or changes when you lightly apply the brakes. If that doesn't work, pull the parking brake up a couple clicks while backing up and see if the squeaking changes. Maybe you have a parking brake shoe that is hanging up.

If it's not the brakes, have someone else back it up and walk next to it so you can figure out where it's coming from.

Where is the squeak coming from?

mine did that too and it was the front drivers wheel, it ended up being my drive shaft and cv joint.

you might want to check that too

I check and it was coming from the back. I took it to the dealer and it was the "U" joints. They had to order them so tomorrow I get it fixed.

Had to order U Joints heck I walked into NAPA and five minutes later walked out with them!
anytime you hear a squeak like that it is most likely the joints

Wifey did it!!!!! :shock:

She must have hit something in the road....uh oh. LOL Then, dealer told you that you SHOULD get a Frankie lift in conjunction with the U-joints to cure any future problems ....am I right???? :twisted:

Even though it's not a problem any more, I still think a good healthy dose of Frankenlift would help things out a lot.

Right now she is in shock at the $300+ dealer charges! I had a minor electrical problem also.
