A few people did, but unless it is one of those truck horns, I wouldn't mount air horn on KJ. It has to sound like a freight train or truck, otherwise it sounds like one of those dollar cabs.

After finding this website I got the urge to get a set of air horns for my Libby http://www.hornblasters.com/

I find the Libby's horn to be so weak.

Try looking in a marine supply store. I found ones simular to these but at $172 I found it difficult to justify.

mind you you might not find the room under the hood...maybe on the hood...hmmmm...

Just Google "marine horns". There's a lot to chose from and a variety of sizes. I like the idea of the electric ones, no compressors to mess with.

No problem all i did was extend the wires over to where i mounted the new horns and compressors. Good luck,

And it is great to see the looks on the dopes faces who are on the phones not payin attention when you hit the horn!

Well about a year ago I was in the same situation with air horns.

First I ordered the red plastic ones that kolesy has on his KJ. I took them out of the package and was so excited, just to be disappointed. now dont get me wrong these things are very loud but have the same tone as the stock horn, I wasnt so happy. I packed them up and shipped them back.

SO i ordered some that were chrome a little bigger and (about 1") and the same thing. ( I've still got them, For Sale )

After that I started looking around, I work at a marina and a friend of mine hooked me up with a set he had on his 52' hatteras. sold them to me for 20 bucks. you could easily blow some ones ear drum with these guys

Theyre hooked up to a wolo air system, I like it better than a direct drive because it is way louder since its putting out about 110 PSI instead of 30.

also you can hook up an air hose and air up tires, ect.

Oh and theyre about 22" long. Youll get alot better tone out of longer and larger diameter trupets.

wow, large trumpets! They must sound pretty nasty. So it has a compressor on top and air tank below it? How quickly does it fill back up? I am sure you can honk it a few times before it needs more air?
How about a sound clip? :)

Cool...here is another thing to add to my wishlist of Jeep mods..which grows longer by the day!

I also want to get a set for my motorcycle. It is a little old Honda CM400E...i think it would be awesome to have a set of very loud air horns so I can honk at all those moronic drivers who seem to think I am invisible, even though they will look straight at me and then proceed to cut me off. Jerks.

And I would like to be able to sneak up behind people walking down the middle of the parking lot lanes holding up traffic and then honk the horns. What would be even more fun would be to get a sound byte of a screeching brake noise from like a tractor trailer or something, play that and the horn. Muahahaha...it would be loads of fun!
