Ok so STUPID lordco doesnt carry the filter kit i need for my transmission, they only have it for the 45rfe which is STUPID since it was only used in 02. He looked in his book and he has nothing for the 42rle. My appointment tomorow is at 8 am. Is it ok to just change the tranny fluid and leave the old filters or is that just a waste? Grr i hate lordco and i work for them lol. |

maybe check and see if a local dealer has one. I'd say its a waste to spend all that $$ on ATF and not change the filter. |

Grr i hate lordco and i work for them lol. Look up the filter for the late model auto Wrangler w/ the 42 and it should work fine. That is how my local Napa cross referenced it. |

no worries, the jeep dealership saved my booty. Canadian tire didnt have it in stock. But i made a good friend at canadian tire, hes a local jeep offroader and has a buddy with a modified jeep liberty and he has heard of the lost forum. So im going to phone him up in spring or summer and get offroading with him. Then jeep dealership at 5:45pm and the parts area closes at 6. They had it in stock but there was no way i was going to get there in 5 min, i live on the other end of town and it was rush hour. But the lovely parts lady said she would stay longer until i got there so i could get my part and she did. So now i am all set for tomorow thanks to the jeep dealership!! |

Well i phoned and talked to the general manager and he was very happy i called, he said not many would extend a thank you and they are glad when they get these few calls from people because not many would think to do it. He said he would tell the parts manager and the parts lady know that i am grateful. |

Go out of your way now to find out all those who can appreciate your praise. Just as she went out of her way to help you if you are truly greatful go out of your way to give thisd person the KUDO's she deserve. Now of days so many are ready to offer "to Bad So Sad better Luck Next time". If you manage to find somebody willing to go out of thier way to help. Recipricate and go out of your way to offer praise to these inividuals who help us lowly KJ drivers and try to pass on your appreciation to those who offer help. |

You know upon further inspection through the fram site, it seems they dont carry a filter kit for the 42rle, atleast listed under jeep liberty's. They list the filter for the 45rfe through all the years, i emailed them telling them that it is false and we will see what they say about it. |

My recomendation is write everyone , Service Manager, General Manager, Parts Department Manager, Even go to Jeep or Chrysler. I todays times they hear from people pissed off and making threats or other non-sence, but a letter of praise and appreciation is so uncommon. This letter makes them step back and do a double take "WTF is this???" |

That can come back to benifit you in the future. I firmly believe in telling managment FACE TO FACE when I have a good experience. If possible I do it in front of the person I am tell managment about and others. That way if you ever have an issue in the future ALL of them remeber the time when you paid a compliment. I just got finished ragging TR and others for thier lack of respect for quality, craftsmanship, customer service, and dedication to doing the best job possible. I make no appologies for that cuz I firmly believe that you need to do both. Praise in public, complain in private but do it when both are needed. It is a shame that we have to go out of our way to compliment someone for customer service that everybody should get. But that is the reality we live in. Good job at bringing that to their attention. |
