Post subject:  KID IS CRAZY ABOUT KJ

My 2 yr old son has a fit everytime he sees a Jeep .Thought it would be a GREAT gift for christmas .Only problem is I have not seen a KJ of any sort. Has anyone seen a diecast or plastic toy of this .I looked around a bit and have found nothing .I figured I would have more of a problem deciding which one rather than N/A .I even checked at the stealership the other day. Any help would be be appreciated .

I would suggest looking on ebay. I have purchased many KJ related items on there. Type in liberty
for the search and narrow the search down to toys & hobbies. You can then decide what scale -how big-
you want to go. I guessing you are looking for matchbox or hot wheels sized vehicle though.
Do your research on the recalled items coming out of China! With the lead paint issues. Especially if he will playing with it.
A few months ago I even purchased a 1:18 scale diecast model of a KJ. It's an '02-'04 and
I own an '05, but you take what you can get sometimes. Don't forget to check out Wallyworld and Kmart.
Hope this helps you out.

Well, being made in China I would have to be on the safe side and assume the paint has lead if it's for a kid. You could paint over it I guess.

MatchBox makes a liberty that is green with mud along the sides. It's part of thier mummy curse line of playsets. You can buy it separately. Kinda neat painted with some Egypt looking symbols and the side doors open.

My little man has it.

The front tires on the green one look like they rub reallllly bad, and I'd love to see the rear at full stuff.

Resident Matchbox expert chiming in here: There is a red Superfast edition Liberty but you have to look pretty hard for it. It's only available in Walfarts. I have 5 of them but i'm not parting with them. When I'm not feeling so lazy i'll post a pic of all the MBX Libbys done. BTW they are made in Thailand.
