My new Bighorns are rubbing a little bit at full lock and I was wondering if the tire rubbing against the plastic will hurt the tire or just wear away the plastic?

Thanks,
Bill

It will cause faster wear on the edges of the tires. It will probably just shine up the plastic. It's actually really easy to trim up the front if the rubbing isn't too bad. Mine was rubbing just under the fog lamp doors. I heated the plastic up with a butane tech torch, and then cut it out underneath the fog lamps going from the bottom corners of the fog lamp doors, in a trapezoid shape. Pushed the fog lamp doors inward so they still protect the fog lamps, and don't rub at all now.

using a Torch on the plastic, wow..... flame on   heat gun works great just heat and have something to push it back in some and hold it till it cools off.

It may just be rubbing on the road but get it off road and then it may rip out the inner fender so its better to trim it or bend it back in

Tom

Used it with a blower attachment. Gets it soft really quickly. I started out trying to push it back, but got impatient and got it too soft. Then I realized how incredibly easy it was to cut out while heated.
