Can someone please tell me how to change the rear left break light bulb. I went to the local auto shop & got the bulb along with the correct tool to undo the screws. Then it got tricky, the light housing wouldn't come off. I didn't want to pull on it too hard encase I broke a clip or something. Is there a trick to it or do you simply pull it forward with force, or even to the side.

I don't want a defect notice from the cops so any help would be great.

Thanks
Chris

Just pull. the light assembly doesn't want to come out easily. On mine I just pulled straight back, parallel to the Jeep

yup, there's just the two T20 Torx screws behind the gate, then just pull straight back. Those two little plugs stick pretty tight but, they'll come out.

After the first time, it is always much easier to pull if you had to do it again.

Yep, you got that right. The top was easier to pull out than the bottom one, I was suprised at how easy they went back in.

That's probably the scariest sensation: Pulling on the light housing with all your might just to change a cheap little light bulb.
