Not sure how many people out there have heard of it but I hadn't seen it mentioned here yet, unless I just plain missed it somewhere. Anywho, here are the details...

This is the Wounded Warrior Jeep project that I'll update as I get more information, pictures, etc.

This past February the Arkansas Crawlers wanted to come up with a charity project, we discussed alot of differant ideas but ended up deciding to build a jeep, raffle it off with everything going to the Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarrior.org

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) was founded on the principle that veterans are our nation's greatest citizens. The WWP seeks to assist those men and women of our armed forces who have been severely injured during the conflicts in Iraq , Afghanistan , and other locations around the world. Many of the injuries are traumatic amputations, gunshot wounds, burns and blast injuries that will retire these brave warriors from military service.

Now that you know what the Wounded Warrior Project is Ill tell you what's happened from there.

Bret Lovett the owner and CEO of Superlift Suspension Systems really thought that this was a great project and has taken it to levels we couldnt achieve without him. He has donated a 07 4door jk rubicon, Chrysler SkunkWerks has donated a 6.4 L 540hp Heimi. It will be getting D60s, Lift, custom paint, and all the goodies. This vehicles will be released at SEMA this year in the Chrysler booth then will travel with the Superlift Truck to all the events 20+ over the next year. There will be Serious Media Coverage, magazines, TV etc.

The Jeeps value will be close to 100K. We are expecting from 250K to 500k to be given in donations maybe more !

Our hope is that the 4wheel enthusiasts will really support this and help support our soldiers !

Donate some cash to a great non profit organization that supports our wounded soldiers.

Have the chance to win 100k Jeep.

Ticket price will be around $25.00 and completely tax deductible. 100% of the proceeds go to Wounded Warrior.

Here are some pics of it right after the 6.4L Hemi installation.

Here's the wounded warrior Layout

The attached rendering was produced by the painter via airbrush. It shows the basic concept on a stock Jeep; he did not include different tires / wheels, lift, bumpers, etc., so the visual is not as dramatic.

Noteworthy points:

* Are retaining vehicle's stock silver base.

* The graphics, primarily the flag and purple heart (heart on hood center) will be in Kandy colors.

* The overlay art (map, soldiers, WWP logo) will be black. May add a Blackhawk medivac silhouette above the map. The Kandys will give the project a softer, "ghosted" look.

* The map will be more defined with topographical features.

* WWP logo size will be increased.

* Need Jeep's blessing to move "RUBUCON" logo from hood sides to above rear wheel well so flag graphics will be cleaner.

The painter is one of the nation's premiere graphics guys; he's done 5 vehicles for Superlift over the years, including Rock Fink, which won a Chrysler design award in 2005. His website is www.joeyhutsonart.com. Check it out.

Now the real art looks like this:

Now for some Specs on the rig itself:

Powertrain: 6.1L Mopar Performance Hemi and Chrysler 545RF tranny conversion performed by Burnsville Off-Road. Engine conversion wiring harness by Hotwire Auto. Dynatrac Pro Rock High-Pinion axles with Detroit Locker diffs and 5:38 gearing. Advance Adapters Atlas II transfer case with twin-stick shifter. Driveshafts by Tom Woods.

Suspension/Brakes: Superlift Suspension products: 4” Rockrunner suspension system with SSR series shocks, high-clearance Superide steering stabilizer, Bulletproof brake hoses.

Wheels/Tires: 37” Interco Irok tires on 17” x 9” Walker Evans Racing beadlock wheels

Exterior: Joey Hutson Artistry designed and applied the graphics using DuPont paints. Hood and rear corner protectors supplied by American Expedition Vehicles. Bushwhacker fender flares. Mopar Performance products: front / rear off-road bumpers, Warn XP winch, skid plates, auxiliary lighting, tow hooks, tow bar mounts, fuel filler door, tail lamp guards, hood and fuel door locks

Interior: Katzkin leather interior, Hi-Lift jack, Powertank auxiliary air system, Mopar Performance products: Trailguide navigation unit, carbon fiber dash overlay, grab handles, floor mats, door sill guards

If the topic has been started elsewhere or needs to be moved elsewhere could a mod or admin please move accordingly, THANKS!!!

Awesome! I hope a soldier wins it as well...I wouldnt feel quite right riding around in that thing with that paint job. It definantly belongs in the hands of a wounded warrior.

no i want it so that means you all are out of luck and will not be able to buy the tickets. Well i wish that was the case let us all know as soon as the tickets go on sale. An a little off topic but still in the same area. IF everyone want to do something for some joe, sailor, marine or airmen overseas go to anysoldier.com and send um a letter or some candy. I know on my first deployment thats what all of us wanted; human contact otherthan eachother.

I've come to the understanding that after the release/showing of the Jeep JK WWP at SEMA that the raffle ticket buying opportunities will be open to the public. But don't quote me on that...and feel free to donate already to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarrior.org

Really liking the floor mats, wish I could find a whole rubber mat like that to replace all the carpet.
