My personal opinon would be not to put any kind of plow on a kj or any suv for that matter. The frames are not nearly heavy enough to be adding that extra force espically a unibody! Ive seen some plows do a good job on a 3/4 ton truck let alone a KJ. It will really loosen everything up so if you think your KJ rattles alot now! Just wait until after the first winter of plowing with it!...My 2 cents anyway! Josh |

They are out there..only really good for a personal driveway or sall lot...not meant for a plow business due to the KJ unibody vs a truck frame. SnowBear even states NOT CRD. http://snowbear.com/page/Personal_Snowplows_-_TruckSUV http://snowbear.com/page/Mount_Guide_-_TruckSUV |

They have front hitch mount ones that weigh about 60lbs, nothing like my old 3/4ton chevy with western v mount, but uh, you know, nice for a small driveway, back in and drive out! I thought about getting a plow jeep, just ol wrangler with a plow, but I dont think a lift works with it. |

I knew I could depend on you L.O.S.T boys. Thank you guys. I am looking for a plow just for my own long stupid driveway. Getting tire of the snow blower and 5 hours later freezing. |

Then you are the candidate for the plows which have been posted here. The SnowBear I linked was carried at HomeDepot and Lowes around here in PA last year....haven't looked this year. |

I know it's an old thread, but if anyone is still interested, here is what a Snowbear looks like on a Liberty. Overall, it worked quite well in 8 inches of snow. If you are used to a hydraulic plow, you'll find it's slower going up, plus you can't just drop it - you have to winch it down too. But it plowed quite nicely, didn't seem to be too upset with a rock or two. And the Liberty is a lot nicer place to be than my old Dodge pickup. Comfortable and way more maneuverable. Great for my driveway and parking area; wouldn't be so hot for an airport runway or a shopping mall with 16 inches of snow. Okay, I don't know how to get a picture from my iPad into the thread. If I figure it out, I'll add it. |
