If I go to a synthetic oil can I go back to regular oil down the road? Back in the day you were told that once you go synthetic you have to stay synthetic for life. How will this affect resale value? Also, If I start with 1 type of synthetic oil like Mobil1 can I later change to another like AMSOIL with out any problems?

thanks in advance for listening to my dumb questions.

I always think of it as oil is oil is oil.

You're fine switching either way.

There is no reason why you couldn't. In fact, they sell syn/dino blends so it won't hurt anything if that's what you were worried about.

If you running say Mobile 1 don't top of with a different brand of synthetic. Standard oil is OK to top off but you will not have the extended drain interval. If changing a complete switch is also OK just don't mix 2 diffferent synthetics.
