I am at Home Depot this afternoon picking my Christmas planer and the guy helping load it asks, "Is this really trail ready?" He's got a big smile on his face like he's messing with me. I look at him and say, "Gosh, I don't know." "I've got at tires, skids, rock rails, 4x4, roof rack, two tool boxes (one for tools and the other for an emergency kit)." I keep pointing things out and when I get to my magnaflow he says. "Wow that sounds great." I ask him what he's driving and he points over to his honda too fast too furious wanna be. I need a lift badly but I still can't believe how the KJ is stereotyped...

I have taken my stock libby through some minor stuff off road, and it seems to do well, the only thing I have noticed is the front bumper hangs way too low. I like what the member 2006 KJ has done with his front bumper http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x46/ ... CT0874.jpg

no just the opposite. He was pretty cocky until he actually got to looking at it.

Hey Fulltimer what did you use to cut the bumper, and did you have any problems with any of the plastic on the inside? And by the way I was down in St Augustine last year and got my buddy's Dakota R/T 5.7L stuck on your beautiful beach.

Yeah, do you have any close up pics. Did you use Gris' tow hook set up using hitches and D rings?

I think if the KJ goes where you want it to go then it's trail ready, if you can't get to that point you want then perhaps you need to mod it a little.

Terry,
Any more pics of the bumper, side on shot, inside wheel arch shot etc. Also is your water bottle still in the same place?

You should of parked on his hood then asked him what his views were of the trail rated badge.

I like that one. I remember reading an article regarding a feud back in the day between jeep and ford engineers (probably CJ vs. Bronco or something) that said it like: Jeep engineers the product for any conditions you'll encounter. Ford does the same, then makes things twice as thick and twice as heavy, so it'll last forever, but at the cost of horrible efficiency and waste.
