Found this unit in a 4 Wheel Parts catalog I got as part of Off-Road Adventures mag. Granted ORA mag is really just a big ad for thier stuff but, hey, it's a free offroad magazine!

Anyway, on thier website they list the 2 gauge (no compass in the middle) unit for $21.95. The catalog has the 3 gauge unit for $16.99 (but they hit you with a $5 handling charge to offset the "free" shipping).

I called figuring it was the ole "show one product, ship another" deal but the guy said they do indeed have the 3 gauge one. It's new and they're gonna drop the old one then sell this one at a similar price ($24.95 + shipping).

Part # is 791006 DO NOT order 005!
Collins Bros has the exact same part # listed at $24.95,
so does 4wheelDrive Hardware....

Problem is, being new and a special, it's not on the website..... SO,
If anyone wants one call them and order it while shipping is free.

# is 800 284-9840 ext 5136 (Alan).
Tell him we're from LOST! and I reffered ya! (unfortunately it won't do anything for me!)

Oh and the coverage of the KK is on page 34 plus they have a whole article on winches....

Sounds like a good deal and I agree with you about ORA. Hey, it's not too bad for a freebee.

My clinometer is a slightly larger model that includes both audible and physical alarms and occupies the passenger seat. If she hangs on to the grab handle and performs a thread count on the carpet, that means go ahead but I'm not going to watch. The audible and physical alarms kick in if I go beyond that point. The folks we wheel with will call up on the CB to ask how a particular section or hill rates on the wife-o-meter. Laughter usually follows. Oh, I forgot. She also has a visual alarm mode. That is when she can be seen walking through a particular section.
