Chris,
We currently do not do one for the Jeep Liberty. We could do one if the need was there, the way we add bumpers is by customer request. The procedure we follow would be making the first on for $2400 and then each additional would be $895. Is this a large opportunity? The engineers could look to see what the possibilities would be to get it on the schedule.
Thanks,

Ibis Tek Contoured Bumper Kits

Think custom made, the Ibis Tek bumper will mount to the existing frame rails following the contour of the existing body and grill. The contoured bumper offers great protection to prevent damage to the vehicle and critical engine components. Our all aluminum design incorporates a tubular grille guard and bumper base with optional lockable storage compartments. The bumper base is made of 6061-T6 high strength aluminum.

Replaceable rubber bumper guards give you added protection.
Optional D Rings mounted for tow capabilities.
Accomodates oversize tires.
Mounting holes for light bar. (Light bar sold separately)
Cutout in the front bumper provides mounting for a front winch, if desired.
Powder coating available in any number of colors.
Tactical FPB Approximate Weight 80 lbs.
Lightweight FPB Approximate Weight 60 lbs.

So if we get 25 sold..... 2400+(900*25) = $995 per unit.......

And why exactly would we want one of these instead of an RL or ARB or JHCRASH's bumper? it does zero for approach angle, and there's no winch mount.

on their videos, the Civic WagoVan they destroyed with the Hummer looks exactly like the one I used to have

It seems to be more of an exoskeleton than a stand alone bumper. I am sure it has some great uses (can hold a wench) but I don't see it as an offroad style bumper. It looks like it does nothing to replace the stock facia. For some who want to add as little weight as possible...it might be OK but the $2400 first run is a buzz killer :?

I still wish the "tube style bumper" was still in progress from a few months ago

:-)r :-)r I usually strap my wenches to the roof rack.

I can see it being useful if you use the KJ for police/security duty. It has a padded bumper that can be used to push stalled cars.

Yeah...one member was building one and then poof...I have not had time to work on one like most of us. A Prerunner front and rear style to match...something strong but light.

IT'S A MOOSE BAR UP HERE WHERE I LIVE. But that would just take the legs out from under it and the moose would land on hood and come through the windshield and say hello.

You guys aren't thinking big enough!

They said they would design the entire bumper to our specs. That means if we want a prerunner style w/more departure angle, they'll design it. If we want winch mount, d-rings, compartments, etc, they'll design it that way, replaceable rubber padding in the front or not, light tabs or not, it's up to us. That's what your $2400 initial cost gets you.

When you add it in to a run of 24 or more it only adds $100 to each unit. Plus, while $800 or so may sound expensive, remember, the units come powder coated already. So back out the cost of the paint and it puts the units into a cost range similar to other units on the market.

Think of it, a LOST edition bumper with the features WE want!

yea but they look hideous!! i wouldn't put that on my jeep if it was $24....but they want $2400? who's gonna be dumb enough to pay $2400 for the first one and then everyone else gets them for $900? an arb or rock lizard is cheaper, functional and looks 1000 x better. Hell i bet you can get a metal fabricator to build you a one off custom one to your likings for cheaper than that one. :?

It still seems as though your not reading what he posted. I agree the one in the pic is hideous but that's not what we'd be getting. Yes it will probably be a tube style bumper but it will look like whatever you want it to and how you want it. "WE" would decide how it looks!
