I've noticed after the lift and bigger tires my braking distance has dramatically increased. What's the best and easiest way to get back to better braking performance? All I know of braking is what I've learned from my motorcycle racing days and that was easy. You could change to harder pads, switch to steel braided lines, and upgrade the master cylinder. These small little changes alone were enough to throw the back tire over your head faster than you could blink if you weren't careful. Is it this easy in the Liberty or am I looking at major expenses? I really want to get some of my braking power back. |

Powerslot rotors? http://www.powerslot.com/ They sure helped my TJ out. |

I would vote for the steel braided brake lines first. I hate mushy pedals. Jeepin Al has them. |

SS Lines would help some new rotors would help some new pads will help a little Now what I know that some of the TJ guys do to get some real clamping power is swap out their break booster and master cyl. to one from a 3/4 ton Dodge IIRC it is bolt on for a TJ I would bet that a set up like that from a grand or commander would be bolt on for a KJ I would start withe the cheep stuff listed above and if that dont get it then go for the "up grade" |
